“Snazzy Title” – *EDIT* – Thanks for the Support!

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Okay, I totally blanked on what I should title this post.  I guess the best title would have been potpourri. I feel a bit unfocused this morning and figured I’d just throw up a post to tell whats going on over at STC. *EDIT* Okay, this is infomerical hour!

First off, I’d like to thank everyone that has been visiting the site. I know most of you are clicking on our Ads that we’ve been running on Project Wonderful. If you’ve never heard of Project Wonderful before, it is a new way of running ads on websites. Instead of buying X amount of Impressions or Clicks, you put a bid on someone’s ad space for the day. You can bid as high as  you want for as many days as you want. Your cost can actually flucutate depending on how many other people are bidding at the time. What is sweet is that you can run a campaign that will put your ad on however many sites that meet your criteria. That is what we are currently running here at STC.

I’d like to specifically thank the sponsors that have been advertising with us that are not based on a general campaign. They actually saw our site and decided to support us. Big shout out goes to The Geek Savants. The Geeks Savants is a podcast hosted by our very own Dave Dwonch. The best way to describe them is that they are a bunch of raunchy comic book nerds. M.I.M.E.S., by Harold and Wayne,  is another supporter of us since almost the beginning. M.I.M.E.S. is basically about Mimes kicking some ass with hijinx mixed in. Subculture’s Stan and Kevin round out the supporters that have been there since the beginning. Subculture is all about fandom, nuff said.  Lastly, I want to give a special thanks to Jeff Schuetz of JefBot for his support. Jeff has no connection to STC at all. I’m not sure how he found our little webcomic, but he left us a comment and now our site has his ad. Check the guy’s comic out, its a semi auto-biographical comic about his  nerdom and acting career.

Holy Crap! This entire post has turned into one big Plug!

Now for some news, I have put up the picture galleries for everyone’s viewing. However, we don’t really have too much to show off right now. There is, however, a section for Fanart under STC. If you would like to give your hand at drawing the STC characters, please upload the picture to the site. It will email me the picture and I’ll post it up (I want to screen the pictures to take out spam and innapropriate pictures). I’ll then put it up in our fanart section and give you a nice plug (if you have a website) on the blog section.

Anyways, I think that is it!
