STC: Humble Beginnings pt. 3

Using Milton Bradley’s meager connections as a public access P.A., Milt and Patrick were able to obtain meetings at every major studio. Unfortunately, their high concept went over the heads of every executive they came in contact with. Milt Bradley recalls:

“No one understood what we wanted to do with it. The concept couldn’t be pared down to a three-word pitch, and was wasted on everyone we saw. It was like trying to explain the quadratic equation to a group of chimps. Still, our faith never wavered.”

The two believed in their creation so much that they were left with no other alternative but to produce the pilot themselves.
