Episode 2: Griff Goes On A Date (7 of 7)
The Debreau Bros: Five Points of Light, One Star pt.3
Though only enrolled in a two year program, the separation he felt from his brothers and the pressure of college life took its toll on young Jonathan.
In his own words, from a 2004 US Weekly interview:
“Those were definitely hard times. You have no idea how many lesbians enrolled in acting school. I couldn’t get laid if I tried—and Lord knows I did. God, what a moody, opinionated lot. It was depressing. I took to the bottle pretty quickly.”
It wasn’t long before Jonathan, insensitive and inebriated, dropped out of school. Jonathan spent several months homeless and unemployed, his life lessons paving the way for what he believed was his true calling in life: Stand Up Comedy.
