STC Spotlight Pt.1: Jordan Debreau

The “guest appearance” by Paulina Porizkova helped solidify STC’s place as an undisputed hit; the show pulled in an impressive 5.1 Nielsen rating consecutively during its first two months. The STC team was ecstatic; all save one of the shows lead actors.

Jordan Debreau, who played the “nerdy” Griffin Griffins, had left behind his entire life to help his brother’s career (see: Episode 3 pt. 2), and was feeling homesick. In a candid on set Tiger Beat interview, Jordan explains:

“I never wanted this life, you know? Jonathan is the star of the show, we’re all just here to support him and his goals. I’m just a beet farmer from the sticks, and I miss my life. I don’t think I’ll miss this (Jordan motions to the lights and set). I’m a simple guy, really. I can’t see myself doing this for much longer.”

Once word of Jordan’s frustrations came to light, the producers held meetings with the Debreau brothers, and his siblings were able to convince Jordan to stay for the duration of his contract.

That was before he discovered his lovechild with rival beet farmer Bethany Bourdain, of course.
