Preview: My Cover for Short Stack #4

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

I really hope The Angry Gnome crew doesn’t mind, but I thought y’all might want to get a glimpse of their upcoming issue of Short Stack, featuring a cover by me! Short Stack is a great book, with a great concept– 13 2-page “Gory Stories,” all written by the incredibly talented Shawn Gabborin and featuring artists from around the world. I don’t know how he does it, but Shawn packs more story in two pages than most seasoned vets pack into six issues. Definitely worth reading!

Short Stack #4- Coming Soon!

Shawn and Stephanie Gabborin are good people, and I always enjoy working for them when I get a chance. For all you completists, this is my third go ’round with Angry Gnome Comics: I previously drew two pages in Short Stack #1 and the cover for Short Stack #2, both of which can be found at the Angry Gnome website.

While you’re there check out their other books. Victor Season is one of my favorite horror titles, and all of their titles are terroriffic!

Terroriffic. Too much?

Congrats to Super Ugly: G4’s Popculture Fanatic

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Congratulations to my Geek Savants Podcast Co-Host, Super Ugly, for winning the G4/Dark Horse Ultimate Popculture Fanatic Contest!! Of the hundreds, nay, thousands of entries, Dark Horse and G4 have crowned one of the Geek Savants as the Ultimate Popculture Fanatic. The main prize puts Ugly center stage in front of the cameras as G4’s special correspondent at Comic-Con International later this month, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Check out the video of him winning, and be sure to listen to our latest episode for more details.

San Diego is going to be fucking crazy.

milk-carton

Yep, I’m not letting the cow die quietly. Ironic that she’d end up on a milk carton.

I’ve ordered a few versions from various printers to compare quality, and once I figure out which printer I’m going with I’ll make these available for pre-order on the STC site.

Look for me to be sporting one of the shirts at the SDCC later this month!

It does a body good!
