STC Spotlight Pt. 5: Jonathan Debreau

Not much can be said about Jonathan Debreau that hasn’t already been said. Jonathan is inarguably the biggest megalomaniac the Great White North has ever produced, and one of the chief architects of STC’s eventual demise.

Jonathan was prone to on set outbursts that shut the set down for hours at a time (see picture, left). Though his maturity was called into question daily, Jonathan’s acting ability rivaled A-List American stars, and comparisons to Johnny Depp were made immediately.  

Much like his 21 Jump Street counterpart, Jonathan launched into film after the show’s cancellation starring in popular movies, including the Bret Hart biopic, “Sharpshooter.” Fame, it would seem, was fleeting for the rising star. After a heated exchange with director Tim Burton on the set of “Ed Wood” Jonathan found himself on the unemployment line. Johnny Depp soon replaced him in the pivotal role.

Jonathan Debreau is now a regular guest at smaller science fiction shows everywhere.
