The Debreaus lose one of their own
It was around that time that Jordan Debreau discovered that rival beet farmer, Bethany Bourdain had secretly bore his child. Their secret romance fizzled when Jordan joined the STC cast, and Bethany had kept his son from him so that he could leave the farm guilt free.
On an unannounced visit home, Jordan discovered Bethany and their newborn child, Dewey, at the local Loblaw. After an awkward exchange in the canned food aisle, Bethany came clean about the secret she had been keeping from her ex, and Jordan was able to hold his son for the first time. Seeing father and son together, brought feelings rushing back into Bethany. The two spent the entire weekend reassessing their relationship, and Jordan decided to stay with his new family.
Jordan never made it back to the set, and production scrambled to finish production on Episode 9: Griffin Murders Himself… Again. The episode was supposed to end with the death of Danny Debreau’s “Wigga Griffin,” but the script was rewritten, giving Jordan’s character a brutal exit from the series. The remaining Debreau brothers took turns on film as the psychotic killer, and ironically, Joey Debreau played “Nerdy Griffin” in his final moments. He is the only person in the history of the show to “die” twice.
