Back in the Day: The Big Delay

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Hey all, I just wanted to update you on the progress being made on the OGN you’re previewing… and why it’s taken so long to finish the book.

I’m working really hard to finish greytoning Back in the Day, toning about ten pages a week. It’s been a long time coming: BitD artist Daniel Logan and I have always had an understanding about the book. We’re both working artists and agreed that the book would finish the book when we had time.

We made that agreement 2 years ago.

In that time, Daniel has worked hard to finish BitD, while supplying art for several issues of Jody Parker’s Earth Sons, PKD Media Presents, and Angry Gnome’s Short Stack series. Rumor has it that he miiiight just have something in an issue of Heavy Metal very soon.

I’ve also done the rounds in small press alley, also working on Short Stack as a cover artist and interior art on PKD Media’s Mercury and the Murd series. I’ve worked on layouts for APE Entertainment’s upcoming UFO anthology, taken a turn on a guest strip for the Subculture webcomic and have collaborated with Zack Kruse on an upcoming story in his Mystery Solved! webcomic. Oh! And let’s not forget my creator owned graphic novella Gnome from Super Real Graphics and Space-Time Condominium!

When you add up the amount of comic work Daniel and I have been a part of, it’s easy to see how Back in the Day has been delayed for so long. Well, that’s all changed. It looks like Back in the Day may have a publisher (more news on that in the weeks to come), so I definitely have to wrap up the book!

See you tomorrow for another page of BitD!
