Check out my interview at Fandomania.com!

Friday, August 28th, 2009

Thanks to Kelly Melcher of Fandomania.com for the great Space-Time Condominium Interview! We get into a ton of topics including my favorite STC storyline, favorite Griffin, my background as a writer/artist and the process of bringing Space-Time Condo to the computer screen.

Their site is a lot of fun, so definitely pop over and give them a read!

Download ‘Special Ed’ TODAY!

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

Special Education #1My partner in crime, Jason Martin, publisher of my graphic novella SRG Presents: Gnome is rolling out his line of downloadable comics with my very first work: Special EDucation. All four issues of the sold out miniseries are available at mydigitalcomics.com for the low price of 99 cents each.

Special Ed #2For those of you who have been following my work since the series debut in 2006, you’ll remember that the series stalled out with the original publisher, and issue four never made it to print.

Special Ed #3Well, for all of you who have supported me over the years by purchasing the first three issues of ‘Ed,’ I’d like to make it up to you. If you drop me a line at dave@spacetimecondo.com, I’ll send you a digital copy of issue four for free. Just specify whether you prefer pdf or cbz file format, and I’ll email it to you, no questions asked.

Special Education #4If you’re new to the series, don’t fret. Visit mydigitalcomics.com, check out some of the great books they have to offer, and while you’re there give the Special Ed books a look see.  If you like what you see, pick up 1-3 and email me– I’ll send you the fourth for free. That’s 4 issues for $2.97. That’s cheaper than one mainstream comic!

If you dig Space-Time Condominium (and  Back in the Day) I think you will love Special Ed.

And hey, if you want a print version of the series, visit the STC store and grab the trade. Either way I hope you enjoy the series!

Check out my Pulp Girls art cards at 5finity!

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

I’ve never been big on sketchcards, but when my Gnome publisher and partner in crime, Jason Martin, called to ask me to pitch in for his Pulp Girls set with 5finity, I couldn’t resist. I’m not quite what the street date is, but the cards are popping up on ebay:

So I’m assuming they have hit the shelves.

Anywho have fun tracking these down. If I was allowed I’d post some of my favorites, but contracts dictate that I keep the images under wraps. When I get my percentage of cards back I’ll post them here… and on ebay.

Talk at you soon,

Dave

The STC promo trail starts… with podcasts!

Tuesday, December 20th, 2011

So, I’m terrible at self promotion. I promised myself I’d do better by Space-Time Condo, and have been hitting the pavement with a bunch of interviews. So, if you want to hear me ramble, check out these fine podcasts. If you’re on the fence about pre-ordering the STC trade, maybe these little glimpses behind the curtain will convince you to put your money behind this aging, lame  race horse of a creator.

STC: Origins and… Double Jumpers!!!

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

So I finally finished a bunch of projects (Princeless, GlobWorld, etc.)  and have started working on STC again! Things are going at a really decent clip. 2 pages penciled and inked in 2 days. I’m going to change my approach to STC. Rather than try to take one page from script, art, color and lettering, I’m going to pencil and ink as many pages as possible before taking one day to color and letter the week’s page. If I can keep the momentum flowing I’ll be way ahead of schedule. Cross your fingers!

Also, it’s high time I announced my next mini-series… Double Jumpers! It’s a fun geek/videogame action adventure written by me with astounding art by Bill Blankenship! It’ll be available for pre-order in March, and will be in stores this May.
