STC: Origins and… Double Jumpers!!!

So I finally finished a bunch of projects (Princeless, GlobWorld, etc.) and have started working on STC again! Things are going at a really decent clip. 2 pages penciled and inked in 2 days. I’m going to change my approach to STC. Rather than try to take one page from script, art, color and lettering, I’m going to pencil and ink as many pages as possible before taking one day to color and letter the week’s page. If I can keep the momentum flowing I’ll be way ahead of schedule. Cross your fingers!

Also, it’s high time I announced my next mini-series… Double Jumpers! It’s a fun geek/videogame action adventure written by me with astounding art by Bill Blankenship! It’ll be available for pre-order in March, and will be in stores this May.

So, I’m terrible at self promotion. I promised myself I’d do better by Space-Time Condo, and have been hitting the pavement with a bunch of interviews. Holy crap this page almost didn’t make it in time. Last night, as I was coloring it, my computer decided to crash… twice. When I rebooted the second time, the file was somehow corrupted, and I had to recolor the entire strip. I was 92% done at that point. Anywho, after burning the midnight oil (til 3AM) and rushing through the lettering tonight, I offer you this extremely uneventful page!

Don’t worry, things are going to heat up soon.

Special thanks to my Back in the Day partner-in-crime, Daniel Logan, for the first panel. ”Peepers” is a Hooters style restaurant that has popped up in two of my comics, and plays a larger role in my next top secret project. Daniel created the place (in the BITD script it just called for the characters to be in a bar and grill), and it’s taken on a life of it’s own. Oh, and I referenced Daniel’s drawing of the place from the back cover of our book. Thanks, Daniel!

My partner in crime, Jason Martin, publisher of my graphic novella SRG Presents: Gnome is rolling out his line of downloadable comics with my very first work: Special EDucation. All four issues of the sold out miniseries are available at mydigitalcomics.com for the low price of 99 cents each.

For those of you who have been following my work since the series debut in 2006, you’ll remember that the series stalled out with the original publisher, and issue four never made it to print.

Well, for all of you who have supported me over the years by purchasing the first three issues of ‘Ed,’ I’d like to make it up to you.
