The first movie, STC Origin, will take viewers back before the events of the TV show, and will reveal the tragic beginnings of the Assassin Griffin, and will not so subtly hint at the origin of the true villain of the STC TV series.  Patrick MacBlain explains:

“We always intended for the series to be a dark drama. Dave (Dwonch) really took our notes and did right by them with Season Two. It’s really because of his work on the webcomic that we’ve been asked to come back and do it as we intended—on the small screen. Thank Christ that fucker (ex-CHCH TV Executive) Scott Coles isn’t involved. Don’t worry—there will be some fun stuff, but it’s time to tell our story.”

Spacetimecondo.com will also be covering the filming of the movies, so expect weekly updates and behind the scenes photos when the movies air.

The film series is set to debut alongside the Maple Leaf Blue-Ray™ Edition of STC Season One in February 2012. Be sure to order your copy in December, and get ready for the Griffins to rule your worlds in February!

See, I told you I’d be giving you a cliffhanger!

I’m hanging up my spurs for a few months; as you can tell from my previous posts, my role as Action Lab Entertainment’s creative director has proven to be more time consuming than anticipated. I literally have my hands in too many pies and need to step back for a bit. One of the main things I want to accomplish during the break is putting the STC collection out. It’s been a long time coming, and I want to finally be able to put this comic into print form. It definitely reads better in chunks, and I think traditional comic fans will like what I’ve done with STC. More on that next week…

I’m also working on several projects, all for Action Lab, that I think you’ll be interested in. In the coming weeks I’ll be able to post images. Check back soon. The Gate Keeper may be dead, but the Space-Time Condominium site will be very much alive!

Aw, fuck. It’s all downhill from here. Sorry, folks.

Whew! STC is finally back! Space-Time Condo is going to be ramping up to a cliffhanger that I don’t think you’ll see coming. Tune in for the shocking season finale!

“Fuck this and fuck all of you! I’m outta here!”

I really didn’t want to leave the strip like this, but I guess it will have to do, for a little while at least. As some of you know, I’ve been working as Action Lab Entertainment’s Creative Director for several months now and, along with steering the company line in the right direction– finding projects to publish, making sure all of the creative teams are working well together, and editing both story and art, I’ve been lettering and coloring Fracture, writing my next few projects, designing books, previews and ads and working on the ALE website. I’m wearing a shit ton of hats.

And it’s taking it’s toll.

Just to be clear, I’m not bitching. I love comics, and I love working on them just as much. I just need to take a break from STC for a little while to focus on Action Lab business. Like Fracture, Princeless and Snowed In, and my next books: Double Jumpers, Odin Jones. and Driving Michael. I need to finally read the second arc for that kick ass zombie book that you won’t see coming until it rips your throat out next summer. I need to finally talk to Rob about the other other zombie book he’s working on, and the other Rob about his pre-apocalyptic graphic novel.  I need to make sure Jeremy and Kevin are on the same page concerning a certain hush-hush licensed property ALE is adapting. I need to get everything lined up so I can letter and color that project.

In short, I need a break… so I can work.

I’ve been rushing through these last few pages of STC and honestly, that’s not how I want to produce this strip. I need a couple of weeks (call it a three, maybe four) to finish up Fracture, and then I’ll be back for the season finale… which I still need to write. I know how it ends, I just need to get it out of my head. It will not disappoint, trust me. 

I’ll have some announcements in the coming weeks, and I promise I’ll post some stuff I’m working on. Thanks for sticking with me through all the craziness. And thanks to everyone that I might be, will be, and am working with. You all bring out the best in me.

Man, sometimes I am a talky sonofabitch. Lettering this strip usually is a breeze, but this one nearly broke me!

Holy crap this page almost didn’t make it in time. Last night, as I was coloring it, my computer decided to crash… twice. When I rebooted the second time, the file was somehow corrupted, and I had to recolor the entire strip. I was 92% done at that point. Anywho, after burning the midnight oil (til 3AM) and rushing through the lettering tonight, I offer you this extremely uneventful page!

Don’t worry, things are going to heat up soon.

Special thanks to my Back in the Day partner-in-crime, Daniel Logan, for the first panel. ”Peepers” is a Hooters style restaurant that has popped up in two of my comics, and plays a larger role in my next top secret project. Daniel created the place (in the BITD script it just called for the characters to be in a bar and grill), and it’s taken on a life of it’s own. Oh, and I referenced Daniel’s drawing of the place from the back cover of our book. Thanks, Daniel!
