I just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who stopped by my (and my partner in crime Super Ugly’s) table this past weekend at Fanime Con. This was my first outing to an anime show, and while there was a bit of culture shock (ie glompers, free huggers and cosplayers), I can honestly say that I’ve never met a more passionate, energetic group of people.

I was a bit skeptical about how my art would be received but once people saw my Venture Bros. fan art, all doubt faded away. I spent most of the weekend filling requests for Adult Swim characters. I couldn’t have been happier! Here’s a commission I did for a great guy named Andrew who couldn’t make it back to the show to pick up the drawing on Sunday. I figured I’d share it with the rest of you before I mail it out to him. Hope you like it, Andrew!

Next stop, Charlotte, North Carolina for Heroes Con!

Since STC has been on hiatus, I’ve been gearing up for my first convention of the season: Super Show in Reading, PA! Organized by the guys from the Comic Geek Speak podcast, the Super Show is like a family reunion of sorts. My inspiration to podcast (as one-fifth of the ever lovin’ Geek Savants) came partly from my friendship with the CGS guys, and I can’t wait to get back to Reading!
