Dwonch the Raunch!

Some of you probably know that I’ve been a co-host of the popculture podcast The Geek Savants for nearly three years. Last Sunday we released The Savanties, our annual awards show, showcasing the best in popculture in 2009. Before we started recording, my co-host held up a sheet of paper full of notes and quietly said “I have commercials.”

His four mock commercials drew from some of the funnier moments from the show, and one in particular involved two of my more unhealthy vices.

I thought it was hilarious and wanted to share it with you:

The End of an Error Pt. 3

“The exit of Milton Bradley was like a breath of fresh air,” Jonathan Debreau recalls. “Between changes in time slots, the lawsuits, in fighting… it was time for him to go. The writing staff reorganized and recharged. Creatively we were all ready to move forward. Sure there was still a black cloud over our heads, but we were a family again, and that’s all that mattered.”

The happy times would not last long as Milton Bradley filed a lawsuit of his own against CHCH TV11 and Space-Time Condominium not one month after his termination.

“Even though we had given creative rights to CHCH TV 11 early on, we had clauses built into our contracts that stated that we would be involved with STC as long as it was in production,” Patrick MacBlain explains. “That little weasel found the chink in the armor and went for the jugular.

This did not sit well with producer Scott Coles.
